Aims and Scope

The Asian Educational Therapist is an international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes research and practice‑oriented articles focusing on educational therapy, neurodevelopmental disorders, learning sciences, cognitive rehabilitation, developmental neuroscience, psychoeducational interventions, and mental health related support services across the lifespan.

The journal welcomes submissions from clinicians, neuroscientists, therapists, psychologists, psychosocial interventionists, researchers, educators and policymakers worldwide. All submissions must be in English. Both American and British English are accepted.

The journal actively maintains a policy that such internally authored articles by members of the editorial board do not exceed 25% of the total articles published in any issue. The journal regularly reviews authorship patterns and actively encourages external submissions to ensure broad scholarly diversity and impartiality in the published record.

Implementation and Translational Science
The journal places strong emphasis on implementation science and translational research. We particularly welcome manuscripts that bridge the gap between theory/research and real-world practices. Submissions should demonstrate how findings, models or frameworks can be implemented, adapted or scaled in clinical, educational or community settings. Critical analysis of implementation barriers, facilitators and contextual factors (especially in Asian and multilingual contexts) is highly valued, as is the clear identification of evidence gaps and actionable recommendations for practitioners, educators, and policymakers.

It promotes translational integration between neuroscience, education and therapeutic practice, supporting the development of effective, culturally responsive and empirically validated intervention frameworks, with particular relevance to Asian and global contexts.

Manuscripts from all cultural, linguistic and regional contexts are equally valued, provided they fall within the journal's Aims and Scope. The journal is is committed to publishing content of international relevance and readability, with all articles featuring English titles, abstracts and keywords. While the journal has a particular interest in Asian contexts, it explicitly invites high-quality submissions in the following areas from international regions:
