Article Processing Charge

Our journal is committed to providing open access to high-quality research while maintaining transparency in our publication process. To cover the costs associated with manuscript processing, peer review, editing, and online hosting, we charge a nominal fee as outlined below. Article Processing Charges (APC) are only charged upon acceptance. Full or partial waivers are available (see Section 5 below)

1. No Submission or Review Fees

There are no fees required for manuscript submission or peer review. Authors only pay the APC should they decide to publish their accepted manuscript. In other words, if a manuscript is rejected during the peer review process, there will not be any charges.

2. Why Article Processing Charge (APC)?

As an independent, open access journal, we do not receive funding from institutions or government bodies. Nominal APC is essentially used to cover operational expenses including editorial and peer review management, website hosting and maintenance, production and archiving of articles, administrative and technical support.

3. APC

We are committed to supporting open access publishing and maintaining affordability and transparency for our authors. Editorial Board members are exempt from the APC. This exemption does not influence editorial decisions, which are made independently of financial considerations.

5. Waivers and Discounts

The journal is committed to ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent high-quality research from being published.
● Full or partial APC waivers are available for authors from low-income and lower-middle-income countries (as classified by the World Bank) or in cases of demonstrated financial hardship.

● Requests for waivers must be made at the time of submission.

● Waiver decisions are handled by the Managing Editor and are kept completely separate from the peer review process. Editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific merit of the manuscript.

Authors who require a waiver are encouraged to contact the editorial office at editor.journal@aet.sg before or during submission.

6. Payment Methods

We accept multiple payment options including credit cards, bank transfer, and other secure online payment methods available on the payment page. Detailed payment instructions will be provided upon acceptance of your manuscript.

Once payment has been made, please email your proof of payment to the editorial office at editor.journal@aet.sg to facilitate publication of your article.
